Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Barback to join our team . As a Barback, you will play a crucial role in supporting the bartenders and ensuring that the bar operates smoothly. Your main responsibilities will include restocking supplies, maintaining a clean and organized bar area, and assisting the bartenders in providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities:
- Restock bar with necessary items, including liquor, beer, wine, garnishes, glassware, and other supplies.
- Clean and sanitize the bar area, including counters, floors, glasses, and equipment.
- Assist bartenders with preparing garnishes and prepped ingredients.
- Transport clean glasses, ice, and other supplies from storage to the bar.
- Keep the bar stocked with ice, liquor, beer, wine, and other essentials during service.
- Collect empty glasses and bottles from tables or the bar and ensure they are properly disposed of.
- Maintain the overall cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including storage areas and refrigerators.
- Assist with inventory tracking, ensuring that stock levels are appropriate.
- Support bartenders by helping to prepare drinks during busy periods, as needed.
- Ensure that the bar and surrounding areas are safe, clean, and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down the bar before and after shifts.
- Handle any other tasks as assigned by the bar staff or manager.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a bar or restaurant environment preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items, such as kegs or boxes of supplies.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and work efficiently on your feet.
- Excellent organizational skills and a proactive work attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions and learn quickly in a high-pressure environment.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
