Director Group Treasury

Hybrid, New York / Chicago

Are you a strategic treasury leader looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic, global company? We are seeking a Director of Treasury to play a key role in shaping our financial strategy. Partnering with our VP of Treasury, you will drive global cash management, liquidity planning, and the implementation of a Treasury Management System (TMS), while leading international treasury initiatives.

What you will be doing:

Global Cash & Liquidity Management

• Oversee global cash positioning, short-term investments, and liquidity optimization to support business growth.
• Develop and maintain short- and long-term cash flow forecasts, ensuring strong financial planning.
• Partner with business units to assess liquidity needs and provide strategic recommendations to leadership.

Treasury Systems & Process Optimization

• Lead the implementation and optimization of Kyriba (or another TMS), ensuring automation, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Work with IT and finance teams to integrate treasury systems seamlessly and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Strengthen controls and enhance risk management practices through technology.

Leadership & Change Management

• Lead and mentor a complex global treasury team across the U.S., Europe, and Asia.
• Drive change management initiatives within treasury, focusing on efficiency, automation, and best practices.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the team.

Executive Reporting & Strategic Impact

• Prepare and present strategic treasury reports to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
• Translate complex treasury concepts (e.g., liquidity management, hedging strategies, risk mitigation) into actionable insights for senior management.
• Provide thought leadership on hedging strategies, foreign exchange risk, and IFRS hedge accounting.

Compliance, Risk Management & Process Improvement

• Ensure SOX compliance and internal controls for treasury operations in a publicly traded company.
• Monitor industry trends and identify opportunities for efficiency, cost savings, and risk mitigation.
• Manage treasury activities across multiple countries, navigating complex international regulations.

What you need to succeed:

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an international, fast-moving environment and is eager to drive treasury transformation while making a direct impact on the company’s financial strategy.

• 8-10 years of corporate treasury experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
• Extensive background in global cash management, forecasting, and liquidity planning.
• Strong expertise in foreign exchange and interest rate hedging, including IFRS hedge accounting.
• Proven success in change management and Treasury Management System (TMS) implementation (Kyriba or similar).
• Experience in a public company environment, with a strong understanding of SOX compliance and internal controls.
• Ability to present treasury strategies at the executive and board level, simplifying complex financial data for decision-makers.
• Track record of improving treasury processes, increasing efficiency, and driving automation.
• Strong ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and deliver results.
• Leadership & Team Development: Ability to inspire, mentor, and lead global teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• MBA or CFA required; additional certifications (e.g., CTP, FRM) are a plus.

In New York, this role will work a flexible hybrid model based in our New York Office, located in the Flatiron District.

In Chicago, this role will work a flexible hybrid model based at Wilson Sporting Goods Co. global headquarters. Located in the vibrant, sports-centric city of Chicago, the Wilson headquarters sits along the lakefront with first-class access to a burgeoning creative, innovative, energetic and active professional community.

A reasonable estimate of the pay range is $180,000-225,000 per year at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and/or training. Please note that the range reflects the base pay only and does not include our competitive bonus program.
