Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, locate, and relocate products within the warehouse. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and safety protocols to ensure efficient and safe handling of materials.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and clamp trucks to transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Perform order picking tasks accurately and efficiently, ensuring that all products are handled with care.
- Assist in shipping and receiving operations, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against purchase orders.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and assist in inventory control.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks associated with materials handling.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or similar role in a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with various types of material handling equipment including order pickers, pallet jacks, and clamp trucks.
- Strong mechanical knowledge is a plus for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Understanding of shipping/receiving processes and warehouse management systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- A valid forklift operator certification is required; OSHA training is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
