Forklift Driver

Amer Technology is now hiring Forklift drivers to pick orders for a local client in the Athens, TX area. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity based on Performance, Safety, and Attendance.

Hours and pay:

• 1st shift 6 am-2:30 pm $16
• 2nd shift 2 pm-10:30 pm $18
• Must be able to work OT as needed

Multiple positions are open refer a friend and get a referral fee if they work 90 days! All referrals must state they are a referral when we make first contact.

What will you do?

• Perform a variety of warehouse functions including picking/packing
• Follow all safety rules and requirements and perform all housekeeping responsibilities
• Pick, Pack, Load, Unload, Move, Put away, and Stage products and Materials using a forklift, or other power equipment
• Perform daily inspections of equipment
• Check orders for accuracy
• Prepare products for shipment
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Six months or more of powered industrial truck (PIT) experience is required.
• You can identify, locate, and move products which require the ability to read, count, and perform basic math functions
• You are 18 years of age or older
• You have a High School Diploma or GED
• You must be able to handle moderate physical activity throughout your shift
• Ability to lift and/or carry products that could weigh up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications
- Warehouse experience, including materials handling and distribution center operations
- Proficiency in basic math skills for inventory management
- Ability to operate a forklift and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to forklift operation
- Experience with order picking and shipping & receiving processes
- High school diploma or GED equivalent

-Must have 6 months or more of experience on a forklift consistently within the last 5 years.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
