Duties
- Operate forklifts, including cherry pickers, to load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas.
- Handle materials with care, ensuring proper placement and organization within the warehouse.
- Utilize RF scanners for tracking inventory and managing stock levels accurately.
- Perform routine inspections of forklifts and heavy equipment to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
- Assist in heavy lifting tasks as needed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to build pallets and prepare shipments for distribution.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience in forklift operation within a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Strong knowledge of materials handling techniques and best practices.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with RF scanners and inventory management systems is preferred.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting tasks (up to 50 pounds) as required.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining safety standards.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
