Job Overview
AMER Technology is hiring Reach Truck Operators to assist with warehouse operations and ensure accurate deliveries to customers. The role requires operating a reach truck for stowing and retrieving products, with a focus on accuracy, safety, and efficiency.
This is a contract-to-hire opportunity, with potential for full-time conversion in as little as 4-6 weeks, based on performance, attitude, and attendance.
Duties
- Operate a Reach Truck to move, stack, and retrieve products efficiently.
- Load and unload materials, ensuring accuracy and proper handling.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow safety guidelines and warehouse procedures.
- Receive and implement feedback (both positive and constructive) to improve performance.
- Work as part of a team to meet warehouse goals and deadlines.
- Use basic hand tools when necessary.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a distribution center or warehouse setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and safe material handling practices.
- Previous experience working under the supervision of a warehouse supervisor is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- High school diploma or GED required.
