What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler with Forklift Certification position at Amer Technology, Inc?
Amer Technology is now hiring Material Handlers with Forklift certification to pick orders for a local client in the Athens, TX area. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity based on Performance, Safety, and Attendance.
Hours and pay:
- 1st shift 6 am-2:30 pm $16
- 2nd shift 2 pm-10:30 pm $18
- 3rd shift 10 pm-6:30 am $19
- Must be able to work OT as needed
Multiple positions are open refer a friend and get a referral fee if they work 90 days! All referrals must state they are a referral when we make first contact.
What will you do?
- Perform a variety of warehouse functions including picking/packing
- Follow all safety rules and requirements and perform all housekeeping responsibilities
- Pick, Pack, Load, Unload, Move, Put away, and Stage products and Materials using a forklift, or other power equipment
- Perform daily inspections of equipment
- Check orders for accuracy
- Prepare products for shipment
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Six months or more of powered industrial truck (PIT) experience is required.
- You can identify, locate, and move products which require the ability to read, count, and perform basic math functions
- You are 18 years of age or older
- You have a High School Diploma or GED
- You must be able to handle moderate physical activity throughout your shift
- Ability to lift and/or carry products that could weigh up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications
- Warehouse experience, including materials handling and distribution center operations
- Proficiency in basic math skills for inventory management
- Ability to operate a forklift and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to forklift operation
- Experience with order picking and shipping & receiving processes
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
-Must have 6 months or more of experience on a forklift consistently within the last 5 years.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
