Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Water Spider to join our customer's team in a dynamic warehouse environment. The Water Spider plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and supplies to various production areas. This position requires an individual who is detail-oriented, capable of heavy lifting, and has experience with materials handling and warehouse operations.
Duties
- Efficiently transport materials and supplies to designated areas within the warehouse or production floor.
- Monitor inventory levels and restock items as necessary to maintain optimal workflow.
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and deep reach trucks safely and effectively.
- Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for tracking inventory and managing stock levels.
- Package products for shipment, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with team members to identify needs for materials and address any supply shortages promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in materials handling within a warehouse setting is required.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) required.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment, including forklifts safely.
- Strong physical stamina with the capability to perform lifting 40 lbs. materials regularly.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
- Be able to preform cycle counts.
- Previous experience with SAP systems is advantageous but not required.
Pay-$18-$18.50
Hours-1st shift M-F 7am-3:30PM.
This is a 3–6-month Contract position.
