What are the responsibilities and job description for the Journeyman Plumber position at Ameresco?
We have a new opportunity for an experienced Commercial Journeyman-level Plumber with a strong mechanical background to join our Federal Operations and Maintenance Team based in Anchorage, Alaska.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, test, and repair plumbing and HVAC mechanical systems, related piping systems, control valves, and all other related equipment, in accordance with plumbing and HVAC codes;
- Must have the ability to read and understand design documents;
- Must have the ability to lead projects and manage change;
- Ability to estimate time and material jobs;
- Maintain customer satisfaction and exceed customers’ expectations; and,
- Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Trade school or Vocational High School Diploma.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in commercial plumbing and installation.
- Journeyman’s Plumbers License
Additional Qualifications:
- Self- starter, able to work in a team environment and able to install from bid specifications.
- Will be required to travel to remote locations at times.
- Physical ability to bend, reach, climb, and lift 45 lbs. without assistance.
- Strong verbal, written, computer communication (MS Office) and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to multi-task, follow through, and meet deadlines.
- Valid Driver’s License.
Salary : $33 - $35
