Ameresco has a new opportunity for a Battery Energy Storage System ( BESS) Site Manager to join our team in Southern California. The BESS Site Manager will have responsibility for site safety, compliance, and reliability and will conduct the daily operations and maintenance activities for the facility and associated with (3) BESS sites at Rancho Cucamonga, Long Beach, and Springville, CA.
Responsibilities :
- Perform and direct daily operation, maintenance, and repair of BESS sites.
- Follow Standard Operating and Safety Procedures for site start-up and shut down.
- Collaborate with the customer, vendor, and internal Construction and Field Operations Managers to coordinate and schedule project and internal trade alignment meetings, as well as site planning subcontractor activities (on-site repair, replacement, and preventative maintenance).
- Responsible for daily reporting to Operations Director and customer representatives for all onsite activities and risk management.
- Manage all aspects of BESS equipment, cybersecurity, and operations. Ensure safe and optimal facility operations.
- Prepare and maintain all required reports; work within a Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track / schedule / generate reports. Track Key performance indicators for site production and vendor performance.
- Remote and on-site expert level analysis and interpretation of data from Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, as well as other integrated data acquisition systems and devices. The ability to utilize this data to recommend remediation steps involving collaboration with internal personnel, customers, and vendors is required.
- Obtain and maintain customer qualifications.
- Will travel frequently to sites and provide 24 / 7 ‘on call’ support availability or varied schedule needs to support all alerts, alarms, vendors, and site operations.
- Establish cooperative working environment and practices. Ensure all project personnel act professionally while interacting with internal and external individuals.
- Stay within operating parameters set by Supervisor and notify management of any production problems.
