Job DescriptionThis job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, and may involve exposure to moderate noise levels. This position may involve potential exposure to hazardous materials, environmental changes (heat/cold), and the employee must be able to work under stress occasioned by production requirements, personnel, and the needs of other departments, utilizing proper body mechanics. Ability to work long hours in emergency situations, overtime, or alternating shifts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Root cause analysis of component failures/issues on manufacturing floor.
- Analyze historical production and quality data to identify cost savings and defect reduction opportunities.
- Departmental Continuous Improvement / Lean Manufacturing Projects.
- Implementation of Corrective Actions relating to Customer issues.
- Participate in Governmental Quality Compliance Audits and other 3rd Party certification audits.
- Maintain quality and safety standards by establishing and enforcing company policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Analysis of Material Review Processes, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, and PFMEA's as required.
- Conduct Supplier audits and validation of corrective actions.
- Other duties as requested from Quality Team Lead.
- Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Quality, or related field. (Required)
- Previous experience in industrial manufacturing environment, quality department, or laboratory environment (preferred).
- Zero to five years of career experience.
- Ability to multi-task and motivate groups to meet performance and production goals.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certified (preferred).
- ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor (preferred).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
- Experience with Microsoft D365 (preferred).
- Should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and effective organization skills.
- Must be self-motivated and can accomplish tasks with minimal supervision.
