What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Health Clinician - Crisis Unit position at Amergis Healthcare Staffing?

7am-3 : 30pm Sunday-Thursday
7am-3 : 30pm Thursday-Monday
The Medical Social Worker collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to provide input in the development of the plan of care for those patients requiring social work intervention. The Medical Social Worker provides medically necessary intervention to patients who have social or emotional problems that are, or are expected to be, impediment(s) to the effective treatment of the medical condition and / or rate of recovery. Additionally, the Medical Social Worker provides these services in accordance with physician's orders.
Minimum Requirements :
- Baccalaureate degree in Social Work (BSW) or Master's degree from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education per state / client requirements required
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience providing social services in a crisis mental health setting required
- Active California Board of Behavioral Sciences registration as an ASW or AMFT required
- Some experience working with unhoused population preferred
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
