What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAT Scan Technologist (CT Tech) position at Amergis Healthcare Staffing?
The CAT/CT Scan Technologist produces computerizedtomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas as ordered by aphysician. These cross-sectional imagesprovide detailed information about soft tissues, blood vessels, and bones,which are essential for accurate diagnostics. The CAT/CT Scan Technologist obtains patient history, explains standardprocedures, and addresses patient concerns. The CAT/CT Technologist alsoperforms a variety of specialized tasks involved in the performance of CTscans.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year of experience as a CAT/CT Technologistpreferred.
- Appropriate valid state licensure in diagnostic imaging
- A.R.R.T. (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)Certification, if required by state regulations or contract specifications
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- 2 year minimum experience, ideally in Hospital Setting.
- Travel experience is a plus.
- Schedule: 10 hours shifts – NOC (10p-8a). MUST be able to work Saturdays. The rest of the schedule is flexible.
- Other Details: Will be doing X-Ray and CT scans to patients in the ER and ICU.
