What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Vocational Nurse/ LVN position at Amergis Healthcare Staffing?
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse works in a clinic location to serve the geriatric population’s nursing needs. The nurse demonstrates ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner with supervision. The nurse demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care. Consistently performs according to nursing standards and is accountable in providing safe, quality patient care.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. After the first 6 months, LVNs join a weekend/PM pool, covering a Saturday, Sunday, or PM (2 pm – 10 pm) shift approximately every 3 weeks.
Job Description: Under the administrative supervision of the Program/Center Manager, clinical direction of a Center RN, and clinical supervision of the Associate Nurse Manager, the Licensed Vocational Nurse provides direct nursing services to participants.
Primary Tasks:
- Medication administration
- Same-day triage
- Medication care coordination
- Medication processing
- EHR navigation
Requirements:
- Valid, untarnished licensed vocational nurse license
- BLS certification
- Open to new grad LVNs depending on experience
