- Location: School assignments determined during orientation. Must be comfortable working anywhere in DC.
- Requirements: At least 1 year of experience as an RN or LPN. Active DC RN or LPN license. Previous school nursing experience preferred or experience with pediatric population.
- Additional Details: Nurses be assigned to a single school, or a cluster of schools within a small radius. Schedule is typically shared 2 weeks in advance.
- Contract/Hours: Minimum of 13 weeks, Amergisum through the end of the school year. If an internal nurse is onboarded for a school where an agency nurse is, school can provide a 2 week notice for the nurse (possible school reassignment possible). Able to convert internally if preferred – temp to perm possible. M-F, 8a-4:30p
Minimum Requirements
- Graduate of an accreditedregistered, practical or vocational nursing program
- Licensed as a LicensedPractical, Licensed Vocational or Registered Nurse in state(s) where practicing
- One year of professionalexperience, preferred
- Current CPR
- PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (percontract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state andlocal requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
