LVN – School Nurse

Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – 1:1 Support for Special Education Students

Location: Inland Empire, CA

Job Type: Part-Time

Schedule: Monday to Friday, Minimum of 6 hours/day OR Per Diem/On Call

Pay Rate: $32-$35 per hour

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide 1:1 support for special education students in the Inland Empire. This role involves working closely with students who require specialized medical care, including:

• G-tube feedings
• Diabetic support
• Seizure monitoring
• Catheterizations

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to special education students in a school setting.
• Administer G-tube feedings and monitor students’ nutritional needs.
• Manage diabetic care, including blood glucose monitoring and insulin administration.
• Monitor and respond to seizure activity, ensuring student safety.
• Perform catheterizations and maintain proper hygiene and care.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for each student.
• Assist with bus transportation as needed.

Qualifications:

• Valid LVN license in the state of California.
• Experience working with special education students is preferred.
• Strong clinical skills in G-tube feedings, diabetic care, seizure management, and catheterizations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.
