What are the responsibilities and job description for the LVN Medication Dispensing Nurse position at Amergis Healthcare Staffing?
Amergis is in need of an LVN to provide high quality safe and efficient medication dispensing to patients that are seeking recovery from Opioid Use Disorder. LPNs provide a high volume of doses of medication to patients under the direction of the Medical Director or Physician in a clinic setting. The LPN is responsible for thorough, accurate reporting and documentation of the patient’s symptoms, responses and progress.
Experience with substance use disorder and individuals in recovery and psychiatric settings is a plus but not required.
San Diego – multiple locations
Locations: Kearney Mesa, Fashion Valley, El Cajon, Chula Vista
Will float to all locations on a schedule set in advance based on need.
Shift: AM (5a-1:45p)
Schedule: M-F (Saturday rotation every few weeks)
Assignment length: 13 weeks (option to extend)
$40-43/hr DOE
- Must be able to communicate effectively and participate in both verbal and physical de-escalation techniques. Ability to excel in a stressful, constantly changing environment is required.
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license for the state in which the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) practices.
- Prefer at least 1 year of experience in a psychiatric acute care hospital or related clinic as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) .
- Current BLS card.
- Current physical exam per state or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) contract requirements.
- Successful completion of screening tests
- Current TB test or chest x-ray.
