Job Description:
Competently performsroutine and specialized breast procedures to produce quality images tophysicians and other health care providers for the diagnosis, treatment,monitoring and prevention of injury or disease. Works independently, exercisingsound judgment, and developed clinical skills to execute safe and preciseprocedures to deliver accurate results in a timely manner. Gains confidence andcooperation from the patient, their family/support group, and other healthcareproviders through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effectivecommunication. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policiesand procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patientcare. May also be responsible for performing specific procedures and/or orientother staff to the department.
Requirements:
– BLS (AHA)
– CA CRT
– 2 years of experience
Shift:
5 x 8 Days (10:30 -19:00), M-F with Saturday rotation as needed
*TotalTravel Package = $3,103.00/week/40 hours
· WeeklyHousing Allowance: $1,281.00
· WeeklyMeals/Incidentals Allowance: $602.00
· WeeklyTaxable Income: $1,220.00
*Based upon qualifyingfor position and allowances. Total package is inclusive of taxable wages andallowances.
The Mammography Technologist performs a variety of technicalactivities associated with the performance of screening and diagnosticmammography procedures. The MammographyTechnologist uses specialized X-ray equipment to take images of the breasttissue and work with radiologists to interpret the results. The Mammography Technologist helps detectbreast cancers early to improve the chances of successful treatment andsurvival.
Minimum Requirements:
- Current State License or Certificate in state where theywill be working
- One (1) year of experience as a Mammography Technician preferred.
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
