We are excited to announce an opening for a dedicated and compassionate School Counselor to join our Educationally Related Intensive Counseling Services (ERICS) Program. This federally mandated service is a crucial component of our students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), designed to support those with significant social-emotional and/or behavioral needs that impact their ability to benefit from special education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students with IEPs.
- Develop and implement intervention strategies to address social-emotional and behavioral challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive educational environment.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in School Counseling or a related field.
- Valid CA School Counselor certification.
- Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) REQUIRED.
- Experience working with students with special needs is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
