What are the responsibilities and job description for the School - Licensed Vocational Nurse position at Amergis Healthcare Staffing?
The School Nurse assumesresponsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing processand the delivery of student/client care and/or contracted services in a schoolsetting. The School Nurse may also be in a supervisory position within the contractedservices. The School Nurse provides services in accordance with Amergis Healthcare Staffing's philosophy, standards, policies and physician orders.
Expectations: LVN to provide care for student health needs inafter school program including procedures such as diabetic care and insulin,gtube feedings, trach managment, catheterization. Also includes toiletingand diapering for students as well as first aid. May require covering asa back up LVN at other schools sites for procedures.

Minimum Requirements
- Graduate of an accreditedregistered, practical or vocational nursing program
- Licensed as a LicensedPractical, Licensed Vocational or Registered Nurse in state(s) where practicing
- One year of professionalexperience, preferred
- Current CPR
- PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (percontract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state andlocal requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
