What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Psychologist position at Amergis Healthcare Staffing?
The School Psychologist works to support students through a variety of mental health and developmental issues and aid in qualifying students for additional support services. The School Psychologist is responsible for providing on-site psychological services to students under the jurisdiction of the state and district.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must maintain current State licensures and/or certifications in state of assignment
- Experience in pediatric and adolescent population is preferred
- Master’s degree in psychology preferred
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age

Caseload Details: |
1 Full-Time Psych for the K-4th Grade Students (1.0 FTE) Main job tasks: Assisting with students in 3 different programs – 3 diff programs (1 behavior program, 1 self program, 1 resource program). Psych is just the tester that does evaluation paperwork. They will NOT be doing the additional functions of counselors — the school has counselors employed, so the workload is very manageable. ~40 students on the caseload |
