What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surgical Technician / Tissue Processing Technician position at Amergis Healthcare Staffing?
The Surgical Technician/Tissue Processing Technician isresponsible for the sterilization of surgical equipment, arrange surgicalequipment and adjust medical tools to ensure that the surgical devices arefunctioning properly.
Minimum Requirements:
- Surgical Technologist certification as applicable per stateand/or client requirement
- Degree in biology related field which includes a degree /certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- 3 years of Surgical Technician experience
- 3 years of experience in Cardiac Vascular and Thoracic Surgery
- BLS, CST
- Prefer candidates with Level 1 Academic medical center backgrounds
