What are the responsibilities and job description for the $58/ Hour Full Time School Social Worker position at Amergis?
The Social Worker collaborates with the multidisciplinary team and provides input in the development of the IHP/IEP for students requiring social work intervention and support in the school setting.
Contract Details: This contract is located near Golden, CO and will last the remainder 24/25 school year. The contract pays $58/ hour(local) and $2,511 / week for travel and for 37.5 student contact hours per week with a full benefits package. There are opening at this time within Elementary, Middle and High School settings.
Primary Responsibilities – mental health service delivery for students with disabilities, special education evaluation, student de-escalation and crisis response
Candidates must has a Master’s in Social Work and be able to get the TEE/SSP License with a Social Work Endorsement. Previous experience working with students is required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Holds a Professional Educator License with School Social Worker (SSW) endorsement as required by state, contract and/or facility
- May be required to have MSW or LCSW per state, contract or facility
- Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Participation and completion of Amergis’ Competency program when applicable
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site
- Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements
- Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required
- Computer proficiency required
