Compassionate Educator for Students with Extensive Support Needs

Amergis seeks a Special Education Teacher to lead our elementary and secondary school programs in Carpinteria, CA.

Job Summary

This is a full-time position requiring a highly skilled educator with experience teaching students with special needs. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating personalized learning experiences that foster academic, social, and emotional growth.

As a Special Education Teacher, you will develop and implement individualized lesson plans, provide support for students, and maintain accurate records of student progress. You will also foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes collaboration and respect among students, teachers, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design and deliver customized lesson plans that address the diverse needs of each student
2. Provide one-on-one support for students, as needed, to help them overcome challenges and achieve academic success
3. Maintain open lines of communication with parents/guardians, ensuring they are informed of their child's progress and well-being
4. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and develop new approaches to teaching and learning

Requirements

• ESN Credential or equivalent required
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Schedule and Benefits
