- Location : Mountain City, TN
- Setting : Correctional facility
- Pay : $55 - $60 an hour (Up to $125,000 a year)
- Duration : 13 week contract, extensions offered
- Schedule : M-F 8am-5pm or 4 10's available
- Individual and group therapy treatment
- LCSW, LPC, LMFT or SPE in the state of Tennessee required
- Experience with direct care for individuals with mental illness preferred
The Licensed Mental Health Professional provides mental health case management services to patients in a correctional setting and consults with a multi-disciplinary team in providing comprehensive mental health care, including : intake and assessments, crisis intervention, treatment planning, and providing individual and group therapy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Provides necessary social work interventionCounsels individuals and families in crisis and help with issues such as poverty, loss and illnessAssesses patient's psychosocial needs, plans for, evaluates and modifies interventions to meet the established patient / client goalsCollaborates with all disciplines to plan and evaluate team goals for each patient / clientFacilitates patient / client and family referrals to community agencies when appropriateProvides financial counseling when necessary to achieve the treatment goals established by the multi- disciplinary teamMay be required to respond to crisis situations, including domestic violence and child abuseMay be required to provide witness services and evidence in court casesVisits schools to assess academic concernsWorks with government agencies to help clients apply for Medicare and Medicaid when appropriateArranges home visits to evaluate a patient / client health, home environment and family interaction / supportAssists patient / family / caregivers in planning for present and future psychosocial needsObserves and reports patient progress and / or changes in patient status to physician and appropriate multi- disciplinary team membersAdheres to facility and Amergis policies and procedures at all timesMinimum Requirements :
Master's degree in Social Work from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education requiredActive license as an LCSW in state of practice requiredMinimum of one year of social work experience preferredComplies with all relevant professional standards of practiceParticipation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicableCurrent CPR if applicableTB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicableCurrent Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)Must meet all federal, state and local requirementsSuccessful completion of new hire training as applicable to job siteUnderstand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirementsAbility to effectively elicit / provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is requiredComputer proficiency requiredMust be at least 18 years of ageSkotti Bullington
