Job Summary:
We are seeking a Behavior Technician to work with children and adults with special needs. The successful candidate will collaborate with school professionals and other behavioral specialists to achieve learning and behavioral goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow instructions from the BCBA, teacher, and/or program supervisor.
- Implement behavior management techniques, including prevention, intervention, and consequence strategies.
- Provide crisis intervention and review behavior intervention plans.
- Assist in facilitating academic instruction and develop independent daily living skills.
- Collect and document behavioral and academic data accurately and efficiently.
- Adhere to confidentiality requirements and support students across various environments.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Two years of pediatric experience preferred.
- Comply with professional standards of practice and complete Amergis' Competency program when applicable.
- Current CPR certification, TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray if applicable, and health certificate required.
- Meet federal, state, and local requirements and successfully complete new hire training.
