Behavior Technician Job Description
Amergis is seeking a highly skilled Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will work closely with children and adults with special needs, providing support and assistance to help them achieve their goals. Your role will involve implementing behavior management techniques, providing crisis intervention, and reviewing behavior intervention plans. You will also be responsible for documenting sessions and collecting data accurately.
Responsibilities
* Follows instructions from BCBA, teacher, and/or program supervisor
* Implements behavior management techniques in the form of prevention, intervention, and consequence strategies
* Provides crisis intervention
* Reviews and implements behavior intervention plans
* Assists in facilitating academic instruction at the direction of an instructor
Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent required
* Two (2) years of pediatric experience preferred
* Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
* Participation and completion of Amergis Competency program when applicable
