Amergis Staffing is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Public Health Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in promoting and protecting the health of our community through direct patient care, health education, and disease prevention initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care and health assessments to individuals and families in the community.
- Administer immunizations, medications, and treatments as prescribed.
- Conduct home visits and community outreach to educate and support public health initiatives.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, community organizations, and other stakeholders to address public health concerns.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of public health programs and emergency response efforts.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and documentation.
- Educate the public on health promotion, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle choices.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in public health or community health.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant software.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
