NO LOCAL CANIDATES (40 MILE RADIUS RULE)
Contract Length : 13 weeks
Start : 2 / 24 - Bi-weekly orientation
Guaranteed Hours : 36 (will accept 48 upon request)
Primary location : Midtown
Shift Requirement : 12hr Nights 6 : 30-7
Float Requirement : First to float within skillset. Deaconess Newburgh (IN) campus (8 miles apart) & potential to float to Deaconess Henderson (KY - 11 miles). 2 HR notice given for cross campus float. Mid-shift float within same campus. Cross campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.
On Call / Call Back Requirement : N / A
Weekend / Holiday Requirement : Three weekends out of every six week schedule. Every other holiday.
Required Certs to be attached upon submittal : Must have current active compact license. AHA BLS, AHA ACLS and NIHSS.
Minimum Experience REQUIRED : Two years of strong Med / Surg, 1 travel assignment, trauma level II experience.
Charting Experience : Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class)
Patient Population : Med / Surg. population - post-surgical, UTI, sepsis, high fall risk, COPD, CHF
Skillset : Remote tele, chest tubes, NG / PEG tubes, straight cath / Foleys, ostomies, Heparin drips, blood / blood product administration, tracheostomy are, PCA management. Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills! Hard worker, resilient and manages change well, social candidates
Unit Information : 41 beds. Ratio : Days 1 : 4-5; NOCs 1 : 6-7
Unit Strengths : Experienced leadership, CNA support.
Scrub Colors : Navy blue scrubs
Covid-19 Vaccine Not Required - Subject to change
GSA hours are not guaranteed the week of Orientation. Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where unit is closed
