Job Description: Machine Operator
Job Summary:
As a Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of various industrial machines. Your primary responsibility will be to set up, operate, and monitor equipment to produce high-quality products. Utilizing your expertise in saw machines, you will contribute to the smooth flow of production and meet strict quality standards.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Set up and calibrate machines according to specifications, while operating machines to produce precise and consistent outfit.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to meet product requirements.
- Conduct regular maintenance and inspections to ensure machines operate at peak efficiency.
- Adhere to production schedules and meet deadlines to achieve production targets.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- High school diploma or 6-12 months of related work experience
- Must have experience with Saws.
- Proficient in reading blueprints and interpreting safety rules and procedures
- Familiar with general fabrication and assembly tools
- Strong mathematical ability for basic calculations and understanding instructions in written or verbal form.
- Report deviations from specifications and tolerances to supervisor
- Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports
- Maintain machine and area clean before completion of shift
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Safety & Environmental Factors:
All employees are expected to adhere to the company’s safety policies to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. This role involves working under extreme hot or cold conditions and requires the physical ability to stand for the entire shift, use hands for various tasks, ascend stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. Team members must occasionally lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close, distant, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
