Who We Are Looking For:
We are currently looking for an Alumni Programs Coordinator who will work closely with regional program teams to build and support programming for our alumni community across all AOT regions. The ideal Alumni Programs Coordinator is excited about forging meaningful relationships with our alumni and is skilled in building programming opportunities that meet our alumni community’s diverse needs.
Your day-to-day will include working directly with our alumni and families, corporate partners, volunteers, and AOT team members to ensure the success of alumni programming. This is a great opportunity for a creative and enthusiastic professional looking to help shape the vision of a promising non-profit and who is inspired by the potential of students. Successful candidates for this role are solutions-oriented, data loving, entrepreneurial and passionate about supporting young adults. The ideal candidate is able to balance systems and big-picture thinking with the operationalization of tasks and an eye for detail.
The Alumni Programs Coordinator will report to the National Director of Alumni Programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Alumni Outreach and Relationship-Building:

Support the development and implementation of outreach and communication strategy to maintain regular contact with all AOT alumni.

Support the design and execution of an engagement strategy that will connect alumni to programs and events that support AOT’s mission.

Connect regularly with high school programs teams to build strategic relationships with students before they graduate from our programs across all regions.
Program Development:

Develop a strong program culture for alumni and all program supporters.

Develop program wide and individualized action plans to support alumni in pursuing tech pathways.

Manage the Peer Mentor Program on an annual basis, including hiring, professional development, and ongoing programmatic support in all regions.

Lead alumni programming initiatives, including but not limited to alumni summits and gatherings, alumni newsletters and outreach campaigns according to program metrics and OKRs.

Maintain relationships with companies and other partners who can provide internship and FT employment opportunities and resources to alumni.

Regularly assess programs for impact, making strategic adjustments as necessary.
Data Collection & Evaluation:

Evaluate and report on alumni programming by administering surveys to alumni, partners, and volunteers, including AOT’s Annual Alumni Survey.

Develop systems to collect, track, and maintain accurate records of student and alumni personal information, including post-high school education and career information.

Support the evaluation of policies and data practices to ensure program goals are achieved.

Compile regular reports on alumni program outcomes for both internal and external dissemination.

Perform additional tasks and responsibilities that align with the role and support the organization’s mission and goals as needed.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in education, nonprofit management, program development, communications, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.

3 years of experience in alumni relations, program development, education, or nonprofit management.

Demonstrated experience designing and implementing engagement strategies and programming.

Familiarity with managing mentorship or volunteer programs is a plus.

Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with alumni, program participants, partners, and other stakeholders.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to foster a sense of community and program culture.

Experience leading and managing programs, including planning events and initiatives that align with organizational goals.

Ability to create strategic action plans tailored to individual needs and group goals.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create newsletters, reports, and outreach campaigns.

Public speaking experience and comfort engaging diverse audiences.

Strong skills in data management, analysis, and reporting, with experience using CRM systems or databases to track program outcomes.

Ability to assess program impact and make strategic adjustments to meet goals.

Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Able to commit to a hybrid work schedule which currently entails 1 required full day/week in office in addition to other in-person programming needs (in-person program sessions, program events, etc.).
