Who We Are Looking For:
We are looking for a Program Manager to manage the expansion and success of our programs in Atlanta, Georgia. This person is moved by the potential they see in students, excited by the idea of leading the development of our programs into a new region, and is looking forward to growing our program, school and community partnerships in the city. You are a true collaborator able to hear others’ ideas, share and receive feedback both from your team and leadership, and implement new ideas effectively. You handle change well, are excited about project management and data and approach work with an entrepreneurial attitude. You have a strong belief in AOT’s mission and are willing to advocate on behalf of our students.
The Program Manager will report directly to the National Director of High School Programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Management and Delivery:

Oversee the implementation and execution of America On Tech’s TECH360 and TFL programs and related student programming in Atlanta, ensuring alignment with AOT’s mission and quality standards.

Support student recruitment, enrollment, and participation to achieve program targets and ensure a diverse cohort of engaged students.

Coordinate program logistics, including scheduling, venue arrangements, technology needs, and volunteer involvement.

Facilitate workshops, events, and other programming activities as needed to ensure a seamless student experience.

Develop a strong classroom culture for students and instructors to ensure group and classroom bonding.

Evaluate student progress with the program team through weekly check-ins and progress reports.

Develop action plans with students to support their learning and content retention throughout the program.

Act as point of contact for assigned program cohorts to coordinate with instructors, peer mentors, students, and volunteers.
Community and Partner Engagement:

Build and maintain strong relationships with local schools, community organizations, and other stakeholders to support program goals and outreach efforts.

Serve as a representative of AOT in the Atlanta community, attending events and networking opportunities to raise awareness and build connections.

Support the development of strategic partnerships for student internships, mentorship, and training opportunities.
Support for Expansion Strategy:

Collaborate closely with the National Director of High School Programs and VP of Programs to develop and execute the expansion strategy for Atlanta.

Provide on-the-ground insights and recommendations to inform decisions about program delivery, community needs, and partnership development.

Assist in researching and mapping potential networks of support in Atlanta, including funders, educators, and industry leaders.
Program Evaluation and Reporting:

Track program participation, outcomes, and impact, ensuring alignment with organizational OKRs.

Implement evaluation tools to collect feedback from students, volunteers, and partners, and analyze data to inform program improvements.

Prepare reports for the National Director of High School Programs and other leadership team members, highlighting key metrics and progress toward goals.
General and Cross-Functional Support:

Contribute to the development of operational systems and best practices for program delivery and expansion efforts.

Work collaboratively with other AOT teams and departments to share insights and ensure consistency across programs.

Support additional projects or initiatives as required to further AOT’s mission and success in Atlanta.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in education, nonprofit management, program management, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.

3 years of experience in program management, education, community engagement, or a related area.

Experience working with high school students, particularly in underrepresented communities.
-
Experience managing classrooms and/or facilitating workshop/classroom experiences.
-
Proven track record of building and managing partnerships with schools, community organizations, and industry stakeholders.

Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to connect effectively with diverse audiences.

Knowledge of program evaluation techniques and the ability to collect, analyze, and report data.

Adept at facilitating workshops, events, and programming, with the ability to engage and motivate students.

Proficiency in using tools and software for program management, data tracking, communication, and reporting, including:

CRM systems (Salesforce experience a plus!)

Able to commit to a hybrid work schedule which currently entails 1 required full day/week in office in addition to other in-person programming needs (in-person program sessions, program events, etc.).
Additional Qualifications (Preferred):

Familiarity with the Atlanta educational landscape, community organizations, and networks.

Experience with curriculum development or instructional design is a plus.

Background in technology or STEM fields is a strong advantage.
