Job Summary

The Controller will report to the President, and assume a strategic role in the overall success of the company. The controller will have primary day-to-day responsibility for implementing and managing all financial-related activities of the company. This will include responsibility for accounting, cash management, cost controls, payroll business analysis, business and tax compliance.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage all aspects of the Finance/Accounting functions of the organization including: reconciliations of all G/L and intercompany accounts, financial statement review and analysis and budgeting
  • Provide support to the President and Company’s Principals as needed.
  • Ensure credibility of Finance department by providing timely and accurate business reporting and analysis of budgets, monthly cash-flow position, bank reconciliations, financial trends and forecasts.
  • Evaluate and advise on the impact/introduction of new developments as directed.
  • Provide business analysis, communication and data reporting for internal and external audiences to include working with external tax advisors for optimization and compliance filings.
  • Develop operational reporting tools to monitor, analyze, and drive the growth of our businesses.
  • Manage the company's payroll and benefits programs.
  • Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
  • Maintain confidential record control

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • BS in Accounting or Finance, MBA and/or CPA desirable.
  • 5-7 years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles.
  • Experience working for a Commercial Real Estate Development firm a plus.

The salary range reflects the good faith minimum and maximum for this role, which may be adjusted based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and education.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
