Job Description
We are seeking an Assistant Eyeglass Manager to oversee the daily operations of our stores, including personnel management and inventory control. This role is responsible for driving profit, sales, and performance goals according to National Vision standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive and achieve profit, sales, and performance goals according to National Vision standards.
- Optimize and oversee the eyeglass department to ensure efficiency and compliance with company policies and operational guidelines.
- Provide outstanding customer service and ensure all associates do the same.
- Maintain quality standards and ensure effective merchandising and execution of marketing, pricing promotions, and initiatives.
- Supervise and motivate Opticians and CL Sales associates and ensure timely completion of day-to-day functions.
- Assist the General Manager with forecasting staffing needs, recruiting, selecting, and retaining a high-caliber staff.
- Lead and coach associates towards the attainment of sales and customer service goals.
Requirements:
- Maintain Optical license as required by the state.
- Have Optical sales experience; supervising experience is preferred.
- Demonstrate proven ability to lead, coach, and build associate relationships.
- Show sound understanding of store operations and standards for success.
- Exhibit strong communication skills (both oral and written) for effective management of teams.
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills.
- Show strong organizational skills for planning work and continuously monitoring progress towards goals.
- Analyze, create, and understand financial reports.
- Demonstrate ability to analyze and solve problems of varied scope.
- Be ABO and NCLE Certified.
