Lube Technician

America's Car-Mart is seeking a skilled Automotive Inventory Associate to join our friendly team. If you have previous experience in or would like to get into the Automotive Inventory field this position is for you!  As a part of our team, you will have the opportunity to interact with diverse customers, showcase your creativity, and learn various automotive techniques. Compensation:  $18 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for processing and stocking in new vehicle deliveries at our shop.  An excellent inventory associate must have manual dexterity and great attention to detail. They must be able to work with various types of vehicles and tools as well as follow all safety precautions. Basic tools will be provided. 

• Provide accurate and detailed reports

• Conduct test drives to evaluate condition of vehicles

• Troubleshoot and reported problems 

• Perform basic maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems.

• Clean and apply lubricants to machinery components.
• Replenish fluids and components of engines and machinery.
• Undertake other duties as assigned 

• Keep logs of work and report on issues

Skills

• Basic knowledge of vehicles

• Aptitude in using various hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers etc.) and precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers)
• Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instructions.

• A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines
• Very good communication skills
• A problem-solving ability
• High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is a definite plus.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and able to follow directions.

This is a full-time position with the ability for growth into Automotive technician.
