Feed Manager Trainee Program

Close Quarters Feed & Pet Resort is a family owned and operated feed and pet store serving the Bryan/College Station area. As a small business, we pride ourselves on providing the highest level of customer service and knowledge of our products, as well as keeping the products on our shelves fresh for your pets and/or livestock.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Train and supervise warehouse staff

· Purchase feed and inventory based on customer interest and availability of new products

· Maintain relationships with customers both in store and on delivery

· Ensure client’s expectations are being met by placing special orders and providing customer service to upset clients

· Maintain communications with internal team; department managers, cashier team and warehouse team

· Interact with vendors to ensure correct pricing and delivery of product

· Maintain cleanliness of store and warehouse

· Display merchandise to maximize purchasing appeal

· Interact with customers to educate them on products sold and resolve complaints or grievances

· Schedule customer deliveries

Skill Requirements

· Attention to detail in presentation of merchandise and warehouse

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Valid Texas Driver’s License

· Must be punctual, reliable and dependable

· Must be able to lift, carry, push up to 100 pounds on a regular basis

· Be able to operate and train on a forklift

· Be able to drive a ¾ ton truck with a gooseneck trailer

· Computer skills: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel)

Preferred Education and Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in management

· Experience in retail management

Pay Structure

· While training and progressing to take on more tasks/learning the operation of the store, the following pay scale reflects employee wages provided satisfactory improvement of employee each quarter

· Starting wage at $15.00/hr

· 3 month raise to $17.00/hr

· 6 month raise to $19.00/hr

· 9 month raise to $21.00/hr

· 12 month raise to $23.00/hr

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
