Swimming Pool Repair Technician

Growing Swimming Pool Company is seeking a solution-oriented and customer-focused Equipment Repair Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for diagnosing issues with the swimming pool equipment and providing solutions to each and every customer they are assigned. This includes following our proven process for diagnosing issues, successfully communicating alternative solutions to the customer, completing the solution in an efficient manner and following all established protocols and sharing lessons learned with the rest of our team.

The ideal person for this position will love to work outdoors. They will be a self- starter who has the ability to work independently with minimal oversight and guidance. They will handle all matters with integrity and embrace the concept and requirements of delivering "resort-quality service".

Responsibilities:

Success in this position will be determined by the following measurable results:

• THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE DAILY TRAVEL THROUGHOUT THE STATE. EXPECT TO SPEND MULTIPLE HOURS ON THE ROAD DAILY.
• Repair of pool pumps, heaters, filters, timers, pool cleaners, blowers, lights, automated pool systems, chlorinators, backwash valves and PVC plumbing
• Knowledge of 110 volt and 220 volt electrical equipment
• The ability to manage an inventory of equipment on the truck and properly utilize and replenish the inventory when needed.
• The ability to utilize a smart phone for our CRM software.
• The ability to spot opportunities outside of the repair call, such as upgrading other equipment or adding to the customer experience with other products.
• Renovation experience – Re-plaster or equivalent, tile replacement/repair, deck texture/seal, pavers install/repair, Small Concrete Repair.

Requirements:

Requirements for this position are that you have:

(1) a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record;

(2) the ability to lift up to 100 lbs

(3) 1-2 years in swimming pool repairs.

(4) The ability and willingness to travel for repairs.

Bonus Potential:

The ideal candidate will earn a commission on all work completed, above and beyond the hourly pay rate. This commission will be based on certain metrics being reached but there is no cap on the commission.

Opportunity for Growth:

This position will have the opportunity to grow in to a managerial position. Overseeing and managing multiple service technicians within 1-3 years. Earning a commission on all service work completed.

Benefits:

A company truck will be provided which you keep fully stocked with tools and inventory. All fuel will be paid for with the truck allowed for minimal personal use after following a qualifying period. You will receive paid vacation time and paid sick leave following a qualifying period. A company phone, tablet and uniforms will be provided.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 55 per week
