America’s Test Kitchen (ATK) is seeking a Senior Product Manager, Search & Discovery , to oversee the strategy and execution of optimizing how ATK customers find and engage with content across its digital platforms. This role will enhance search functionality, build engaging discovery experiences, and integrate SEO strategies to connect customers with recipes, equipment reviews, techniques, shows, and guides that meet their needs.

As a Senior Product Manager, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including editorial, engineering, design, data, and marketing, to deliver a cohesive, personalized experience that drives customer satisfaction, retention, and membership growth.

Responsibilities

  • Define and deliver a compelling search & discovery roadmap in collaboration with stakeholders based on customer needs and aligned with ATK’s business objectives, prioritizing initiatives based on user research, analytics, and business impact.
  • Enhance ATK’s search capabilities by refining the implementation of ATK’s third-party search engine to deliver relevant, intuitive search results. You’ll work to implement and optimize sorting and filtering mechanisms, leverage personalization features and behavioral data, and continuously improve content tagging, taxonomy, and metadata to enhance search accuracy.
  • Drive innovation in content discovery by reimagining ATK’s homepage and browsing experiences to inspire and guide customers to relevant content. You’ll help deliver personalized recommendations leveraging member preferences and engagement data. In addition, your job will be to empower the editorial team to curate seasonal and topical content with scalable tools.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration by partnering with editorial, engineering, design, and SEO teams to improve user journeys across platforms and with marketing to deliver integrated campaigns that enhance content discoverability. You’ll also work with data teams to monitor performance metrics and inform data-driven improvements.
  • Support SEO in collaboration with SEO leadership and Editorial, implementing content-based strategies supported by optimized structured data and metadata that drive organic traffic and improve the visibility of ATK content in search engines.

Skills & Qualifications

Required

  • 5 years of product management experience, with at least 2 years focused on search, discovery, or personalization.
  • Demonstrated success in managing search platforms (e.g., Algolia, ElasticSearch) and delivering customer-centric solutions.
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience leveraging user research and performance metrics to inform decisions.
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel) and A / B testing.
  • Familiarity with SEO principles and integrating them into product strategies.
  • Preferred

  • Experience in subscription-based or content-driven digital products.
  • Familiarity with metadata, taxonomy, and content tagging strategies.
  • Passion for cooking and food media.
  • This position is located in our Boston, MA, office in the Seaport district. It is the expectation that the person in this role will work a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) in the office and 2 days per week remotely.
