Position Purpose and Objectives
America's Thrift Stores is seeking a passionate and results-driven Donations Growth Specialist to spearhead our donation site expansion and management efforts. The Donations Growth Specialist will serve as the America’s Thrift Stores’ representative tasked with growing donations by finding new donation sites and working closely with our various charity partners to ensure positive donation growth throughout our company footprint year after year. This individual will execute growth strategies, evaluate ROI of current sites, prioritize initiatives, secure contracts and approval for donation sites, including the takeover of sites run by our competitors, and work closely with various Area Donations and Logistics Managers to ensure the timely placement and service of new sites and relationships. They must ethically uphold the reputation and values of our Charity Partners as they work in their communities. The goal of this position is to increase donations supply by 1.5 million pounds annually by enhancing collection strategies with a clear focus on locating, negotiating and closing relationships with property owners to secure both new and pre-established donation sites from the competition.
Roles and Responsibilities
Achieve quarterly goals and objectives as outlined by Leader of Donations Growth and Development.
Evaluate current sites and pursue growth opportunities which maximize the ROI of current assets and resources.
Document, report and communicate all donations growth activities.
Obtain pre-established donation sites from our competitors.
Obtain new donation sites in high traffic, highly visible areas to reach targeted demographics.
Coordinate support efforts between charity partners, property owners/lease holders and Donations Growth and Development Managers.
Expand our footprint and market share in current and new markets.
Work closely with the Area Donations and Logistics Managers to ensure assets are being deployed timely to new donation sites.
Comply with all federal, state and local laws.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communication or related field.
3 to 5 years of Sales or Marketing experience preferred, with a track record of self-motivated sales success.
Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently to external customers, internal customers, charity partners and management using both verbal and electronic written communication methods.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and ensure that deadlines are met.
Think critically to assess and prioritize opportunities and available resources.
Experience managing a budget and evaluating returns on investments.
High level of energy, proactivity and initiative.
Strong prospecting skills; sales planning.
Must have a high degree of personal integrity and honesty.
Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Ensure safety standards are observed at all times.
Travel 75% to pursue growth opportunities and work with Area Donations and Logistics Managers in assigned markets.
Valid Class D Driver’s License and Clean MVR.

Occasionally: carrying up to 10 lbs., pushing and pulling up to 25 lbs., lifting up to 10 lbs., climbing up to 14-foot height, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, handling and smelling.

Continuously: sitting, standing on tile/concrete, fingering, talking, seeing and hearing.
Safety Risk Factors:
Occasionally: loud noise, cluttered floor surface, nuisance dust, fumes, sprays and hazardous cleaning solutions.

Mostly regular hours, occasionally working evenings, weekend and holiday hours as needed.
