The Marketing Manager advances the credit union’s growth through the execution of promotional campaigns and brand awareness. They oversee day-to-day operations in all marketing-focused areas including product promotion, internal and external communication, traditional and digital marketing, and video production. The Marketing Manager is dedicated to working with the VP of Communications to create and sustain a culture that is filled with people who are Focused, Engaged, Trustworthy, Humbly Confident, and driven to Achieve. The Marketing Manager works to assure that our team is optimally engaged with each other, our members, and in the community. They must work to ensure their team is fulfilled in their work and, as a result, the member experience is superior, and goals are achieved.
Essential Job Functions:
- Focus on Purpose: Focused on the credit union's purpose of creating financial wellness in our community through everyday banking.
- Lead, Manage, and Accountability: Committed to leading and managing in a way that creates an environment in which accountable employees thrive and non-accountable people choose to leave. Effectively uses a people analyzer to find the right people and right seats.
- Marketing and Communication Strategy: Leads the marketing team members on the credit union’s short- and long-term goals and objectives and communicates such goals and objectives to credit union staff members, community partners, and members.
- Internal and External Communication: Coordinates all internal and external communication to ensure that messages are clear and consistent with the brand of the credit union, including email, text, video, press releases, and more.
- Brand Equity Management: Oversight of execution of all traditional and digital marketing for the credit unions promotions, events, and brand campaigns while ensuring accuracy is always a priority.
- Accountability Measurement and Coaching: Monitors accountability within the marketing and community partnership departments and works on improvement coaching plans with operational managers.
- Community Advocate: Serves as a representative of the credit union within the community and is actively visible at credit union events and credit union-sponsored events.
- Continued Growth Support: Supports marketing team in assessment, reporting, coaching, training, and improvement plan recommendations for the department and individuals as needed.
- Budget Assistance: Monitors and makes recommendations on marketing budgets to the VP of Communications.
- Vendor Management: Liaisons with assigned third-party vendors and represents the credit union at external events. Organize and coordinate the media purchasing with the VP of Communications and work with the marketing team to execute communication plans.
- Core Process, Policy, and Procedure Review: Assures the marketing team is following all processes, policies, and procedures. Follow all credit union policies and procedures, including policies and procedures for customer identification and all BSA requirements.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years at a management level and demonstrated strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proficient understanding of strategic planning and product/service development
