What are the responsibilities and job description for the Admissions Director position at American Academy of Cosmetology?
This position is responsible for activities related to student recruitment and enrollment, in order to meet overall goals. This position connects with prospective students by actively responding to leads daily created in schools MEMO database and other avenues, answering incoming phone calls, developing relationships with local High Schools and attending College Fairs.
This position requires an outgoing personality with great organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines. The understanding of the Cosmetic Arts Industry and the Admissions processes is vital for this position.
Job duties further cover working closely with all school Departments and being able to be a Team Member.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overall enrollment and openly communicates with other departments
- Works closely with Financial Aid through out the incoming students enrollment process.
- Schedule active tours leading to enrollment
- Scheduling/confirming appointments as needed
- Assist with coordination of scheduled events
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications: Admissions experience is strongly recommended
Education:
Post Secondary Education is desired with a strong track record of achieving goals.
Experience:
3 years of experience in a related role
Others:
Must be able to work Monday - Friday
Leadership experience. Good verbal and written skills and business acumen. Strong organizational skills. Require proficiency in Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
