Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Warehouse Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse by handling materials, receiving and packing shipments, and maintaining inventory accuracy amongst other tasks. This position requires a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. When the work in the warehouse is slow the individual may be asked to assist the installation process of the ramps out in the field.
Responsibilities
- Perform materials handling tasks including receiving, storing, and distributing products within the warehouse.
- Execute order picking and packing with precision to ensure timely packing of our ramps.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts (certified preferred).
- Conduct shipping and receiving activities, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse to promote a safe working environment.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring proper lifting techniques are followed to prevent injury.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and address any operational challenges.
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with materials handling processes, order picking techniques, and shipping/receiving protocols is advantageous.
- Experience operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, and a forklift is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the shift while adhering to safety standards.
