POSITION SUMMARY
The Accounting Assistant/File Clerk will be responsible for maintaining organized financial records and providing assistance in various accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a willingness to contribute to the overall efficiency of the accounting function.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting or finance is a plus.
- Basic understanding of accounting processes.
- Excellent organizational and file maintenance skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in document handling.
- Document sorting and filing.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to lift and carry boxes of documents as needed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records, including invoices, receipts, and other accounting documents.
- Sort and categorize documents based on predetermined criteria.
- File documents in an organized and accessible manner, both electronically and in physical filing systems.
- Support bank reconciliation processes by organizing and filing bank statements and related documentation.
- Provide support during internal and external audits by retrieving requested documents and information.
- Work collaboratively with the accounting team to ensure seamless and efficient financial operations.
