Responsibilities:
- Administer Employee Benefits:
- Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.
- Coordinate open enrollment processes and assist employees with benefits inquiries and concerns.
- Collaborate with benefits providers to ensure accurate and timely processing of enrollments, changes, and terminations.
- Process Protected Leaves of Absence:
- Interpret and administer federal, state, and company-specific leave policies, including FMLA, ADA, and other protected leaves.
- Guide employees through the leave application process, including eligibility requirements, documentation, and timelines.
- Coordinate with managers and HR partners to ensure proper coverage and compliance during employee absences.
- Maintain Employee Information:
- Enter and maintain accurate employee data in HRIS systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data privacy regulations.
- Update employee records with changes in status, benefits elections, and other relevant information.
- Generate reports and analyze data related to employee benefits, leaves, and compliance metrics.
- Process Workers' Compensation Claims:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for workers' compensation claims, including reporting incidents, coordinating medical treatment, and managing claim documentation.
- Partner with insurance carriers, medical providers, and legal counsel to facilitate the claims process and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain accurate records of claims, expenses, and return-to-work accommodations.
- Assist with HR Projects and Initiatives:
- Support HR team members in various projects, such as policy updates, training initiatives, and compliance audits.
- Participate in cross-functional collaborations to improve HR processes, systems, and employee experiences.
- Stay informed about changes in employment laws, regulations, and industry trends related to benefits, leaves, and workers' compensation.
