POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Director of Quality & Clinical Operations is responsible for the Quality & Infection Control Organizational Plan and oversight of the annual Regulatory Requirements for Performance Improvement, Risk Management, Infection Control, Case Management, and Corporate Pre-Admissions. She/he will support the supervision of day-to-day operations for the Pre-Authorization team. The Senior Director of Quality & Clinical Operations contributes to the organization’s mission and vision by planning, designing, and assessing risk prevention measures, hospital-wide performance improvement, infection control, survey readiness and patient safety plans/programs. She/he is responsible for the coordination of performance improvement activities. The Senior Director leads and serves as a model for identifying opportunities for improvement throughout the organization. She/he collaborates with leadership in the development of programs/tools to monitor and ensure appropriate utilization of the hospital and its resources while maintaining optimal achievable standards of patient care. The Senior Director works collaboratively with Nursing, Medical Staff and Leadership in support of process improvement and corporate standardization goals. The Senior Director of Quality & Clinical Operations will support the Medical Staff Department with quality-related reviews and follow-up. She/he will provide oversight of all facility regulatory affairs, surveys and inquiries. The Senior Director of Quality & Clinical Operations will support the Corporate Clinical Team with Regulatory Readiness trainings. She/he will support the Corporate Director of Case Management in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor degree in Nursing, Master’s degree preferred
2. Must hold a current state Registered Nurse license and must maintain license renewal in accordance with the standards of the State Board of Nursing
3. Two to three years of Management, Risk or Quality experience, with two years’ of clinical nursing experience.
4. Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality or Healthcare Accreditation Certified Professional, preferred or obtained within the first year of hire
5. Risk Management certificate preferred.
6. Long term acute care and/or rehabilitation experience is preferred
7. Demonstration of leadership, and the application of interpersonal skills and principles of supervision and administration
8. Must be able to read, write, and speak English, as well as possess good verbal and written communications skills
9. Will possess strong computer skills with minimal guidance
Salary : $115,000 - $140,000
