The Account Supervisor should have 4-6 yrs of PR experience with at least 3 yrs working at a PR agency, a solid understanding of the overall technology industry and deep relationships with tech media that have resulted in significant coverage for clients.
Supervisors serve as clients' main contact and manage the team's day-to-day activities, including media relations, client programs / initiatives and launches. In this role, you are responsible for media and program strategy, securing media coverage, and contributing to the overarching account strategy, client positioning and creative ideas.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a holistic view of the account, managing and moving all aspects forward whether or not directly owning, ensuring all account programs and activities are on track and map back to client goals.
- Drive the day-to-day and serve as the primary point of contact for clients.
- Supervise the work of account team members by setting priorities, delegating responsibilities and meeting deadlines.
- Draft the first version of large campaign and yearly plans for clients; pulling in VPs / digital resources / peers to build out and finalize.
- Consult with clients on media strategy and approach for announcements and story pitching; deliver media strategy documents to clients autonomously.
- Run client launches and news announcements with support from team and media experts.
- Identify trend stories, executive features and client / product spotlights land stories individually direct teams in their pitching to achieve results.
- Pitch stories to both national and local media.
- Write strong client-ready media documents (pitches, releases, Q&As, blog posts, newsletters, long- and short-form articles, social media posts) that require minimal edits from VPs.
- Develop, draft and execute executive communication programs including conducting interviews, defining content strategy, identifying content pillars, writing key messages and recommending content approaches.

Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and specific work location.
The base salary range for this position in the SF Bay Area is $90,000 to $110,000.
