About the Job:
This job involves working in our customer service department as a full-service aviation hospitality representative. Typically, new hires start in the Front Desk role, greeting customers, accepting payments and handling various administrative and service oriented details. The job includes regular computer work, i.e., processing basic financial transactions, entering reservations for services and managing various number-related details within the software applications related to customer bookings and fees.
Once the front desk is mastered, the next step is cross training to learn additional functions within the department. The Air Concierge role involves working outdoors, serving as the primary point of contact for arrivals and departures, escorting passengers to and from planes, and managing various details in preparation for the flights. The Air Boss role involves coordinating internal operations from the command center to ensure timely and efficient service is provided for arrivals and departures.
The position requires a cheerful and enthusiastic personality to make all guests feel welcome, while ensuring their business needs are met with the utmost in attentiveness and professionalism. Our customer service department provides concierge-level assistance through excellent communication, anticipation of needs, creative thinking, expedient responsiveness and attention to detail.
Front Desk / Air Concierge Qualifications:
- Must have experience, providing exemplary service in a face-to-face hospitality oriented setting, e.g., front desk, restaurant/bar, hotel, country club, luxury retail
- Aviation experience preferred
- Friendly and attentive personality
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with numbers to efficiently and accurately handle payment processing, invoicing and the associated computer entries and paperwork
- Exceptional ability to attend to details
- Experience with conflict-resolution in a customer service environment
- Computer skills, e.g., POS systems, reservation systems, accounting systems, Excel, and email
- Ability to multi-task effectively, interacting with customers, answering phones and attending to computer work
- Must be able to work a fluctuating schedule to include, days, nights, weekends, holidays and extended hours (before 6am and/or after 10pm) as needed
Front Desk / Air Concierge Duties Include:
- Greeting on-site visitors and ensuring they are made to feel welcome
- Handling telephone calls with customer-oriented level of service
- Data entry and other computer work to communicate with customers, make reservations, track inventory and process financial transactions
- Excellent attention to detail, to coordinate operations and ensure timely, efficient service
- Working outside in all weather conditions to facilitate arrivals and departures, coordinating services, transferring items on/off the planes and transporting customers as needed
- Connecting clients to appropriate personnel or third-party vendors for further service needs
- Providing attention to detail and follow through to ensure that a wide range of business needs are met
- Performing administrative support tasks
- Maintaining professionalism and confidentiality
- Providing safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
