Position Objective:
This person will maintain quality assurance within the facility to satisfy AAF Flanders’ customer requirements per the Quality Management System (QMS). This may encompass raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), finished goods, and the QMS/ISO standards.
- This position is entry level and may require constant supervision
Key Responsibilities:
- Be a Quality Advocate: assist in approving incoming materials to specifications by conducting measurements and visual tests
- Work with Production and Warehouse employees to spot and correct non-conforming product
- Reject and return nonconforming material to the nonconforming area
- Help to maintain the inventory of nonconforming material
- Complete all paperwork and reporting as required; data entry as required
- Participate in Quality Alerts and other communications to Production and Management
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; comply with all legal regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Technical Requirements
Describe the technical knowledge and experience required to accomplish the job duties and responsibilities
Ability to learn new quality skills: corrective and preventive action, internal audit, document records and more- Must be able to communicate in English; Spanish a plus (both verbal and written)
Knowledge/Experience:
Describe minimum experience requirements necessary to accomplish the job duties and responsibilities.
2 years Quality experience preferred but not required- Working knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
- Basic math skills including fractions; must be able to read a tape measure to 1/16”
- Be able to adapt to any type of environment
- Be able to work independently with some supervision
