What you'll do
Collaborates with Business and IT leadership to determine and communicate systems vision, direction, and work priorities, and drives progress towards technology target roadmapsEnsures that sound agile project management, business analysis, and quality assurance processes are in place and practicedRemoves roadblocks, cultivates relationships, and effectively communicates across Enterprise at various levels of leadershipLeads, influences, and enforces technology standardsDemonstrates continuous improvement mindset for internal development processes and how applications assist in business processes operational flowUses software development best practices to design and implement processes that maintain quality standards while meeting deadlinesEstimates effort and resources needed for development activities, ensure initiatives have the right allocation of resources, and ensure that deliverables are meeting the business needsParticipates in department budget & capital planning processesManages and tracks project / program schedules and budgets with controller(s), as appropriateManages and leads adoption and migration of new and emerging technologiesMaintains an effective approach on problem solving, multi-tasking, coordinating and scheduling in accordance with stated goals to ensure visibility and predictabilityDevelops and mentors a team of highly skilled technologists (project managers, business analysts, quality assurance, and developers)Leads, motivates, and cultivates a high performing team environmentManages production issues and off-hours support, communication, and coordinationWorks extended hours occasionally, based on the needs of the project and the operationTravels, as requiredAll you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS / MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience / training10 years of full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience designing, developing and implementing large-scale applications in hosted production environments7 years of experience overseeing large technology projects from inception to implementation in an enterprise environment5 years of experience delivering SDLC solutions using ITIL / Agile / XP, or similar methodologiesPreferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS / MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience / trainingAirline industry experience, including business processes and supporting technologySkills, Licenses & Certifications
