As Procurement Analyst / Sr Analyst at American Airlines, you will be instrumental in transforming our procurement operations. This role demands proven experience in procure-to-pay or source-to-pay process, preferably Coupa, best-in-breed technologies across our source-to-pay process, and a strategic approach to procurement.

Align the Source-to-Pay process with the organization's strategic goals and objectives through collaboration with business process owners and senior management to ensure that the process supports the overall business strategy. Develop and implement data analysis strategies to optimize procurement activities and supplier performance.
Leverage experience with Coupa Source-to-Pay or Procure-to-Pay process modules to optimize procurement workflows, enhance system adoption, and drive best practices.
Work with business owners of various parts of the process to establish and maintain standardized process documentation, including procurement policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Develop and implement data analysis strategies to optimize procurement activities and outcomes.
Identify opportunities to enhance processes, tools, and systems, focusing on automation and digitization within the Source-to-pay process. .
Report on procurement metrics and performance, presenting insights and recommendations to senior management.
Facilitate supplier enablement by developing strategies that streamline supplier onboarding, management, and increased supplier partnerships.
Experience in automating e-catalogues, ensuring they reflect current offerings and pricing.
Work with legal, compliance, and 3rd party risk management teams to mitigate risks and implement necessary controls for the source-to-pay process.
Support supplier enablement activities to enable supplier interaction with the organization's procurement system (Coupa) effectively and efficiently.
Focus on automation and digitization within the source-to-pay process to increase efficiency and reduce manual work.
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Strategy, Finance, Business Management, Data Analytics or other related field
- 3 years of experience in source-to-pay, contract life cycle management, and spend analytics, including negotiation, compliance, and optimization
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Advanced degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting or other related field.
Deep understanding of the source-to-pay process and experience working on transformational programs; experience with direct and indirect procurement as well as supply chain management is a bonus Experience in technology enablement, ERP implementation experience in the S2P space is a plus, and familiarity with process automation tools.
